White grubs are the larval stage of various scarab beetles and chafers. They are plump, soft-bodied insects with a white or cream-colored body, a brown head, and six legs.  These grubs are found curled up in a C-shape  in the soil and can cause significant damage to lawns, gardens, and other agricultural crops by feeding on their roots. White grubs chew on the roots of plants, which can stunt growth, wilt leaves, and kill plants.
